Jerome, AZ. in the 1953 International

Aug 14, 2014

We decided to take a trip around. was the weekend let’s get out of the heat. so we took the International Harvester truck put some miles on her.

We ended going to Jerome, AZ  Located high on top of Cleopatra Hill (5,200 feet) between Prescott and Flagstaff is the historic copper mining town of Jerome, Arizona. Once known as the wickedest town in the west, Jerome was a copper mining camp, growing from a settlement of tents to a roaring mining community. Four disastrous fires destroyed large sections of the town during its early history, resulting in the incorporation of the City of Jerome in 1899.

Well, what i didn’t know was that the truck had a head gasket that was leaking. it wasn’t running right and overheating. with that said ,. i still had a blast, and made a lot of stops.

cruising down the highway people would pull up next to us give the thumbs up or shoot a video, its a good feeling.

Lance the Border collie was in the beginning stages of this obedience training and we need a place with people. he did awesome.
